New Course on Ethical and Legal Issues

"How will trust between medical doctors and patients be affected by AI? May medicine become dehumanized? How can algorithmic bias and discrimination be avoided? Who can be charged if things go wrong?" The new course " AI in Medicine - Ethical and Legal Issues" aims at making students sensitive to ethical and legal issues surrounding AI in medicine and empowering them to contribute to ethical and pragmatic solutions.

For the NZZ Format documentary "KI in der Medizin - sind Algorithmen bald die besseren Ärzte" CAIM director Raphael Sznitman, MSc AIM student Marta Colmenar and many other team players from the field were interviewed. We encourage you to watch this particularly interesting film about current and future perspectives on AI in the field of medicine.

Students at CAIM Research Symposium

Some of our students followed the invitation to this year’s research symposium at 24 November 2022 which featured updates on the CAIM funded projects and offered an overview over the most important developments during the academic year. In addition, invited keynotes were given by AI experts from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the ETH Zurich. What a networking opportunity for the master’s students!
