CAIM will provide access and availability of computer infrastructure, computational resources (e.g. virtual environments) and access to data resources which are critical for all digitalization and AI projects. It draws on the medical data of the Insel Data Science Center (IDSC) cluster, Bern University Hospital, and the University of Bern High Performance Computing cluster, to enable data-based improved clinical decision making. CAIM’s mission is to better accommodate, augment, and support this infrastructure for efficient and secure use for multicentric and interdisciplinary projects within the Bern Medical hub and with national and international partners.
